I’ve started to write at the age of four but i was never really satisfied with writing alone. I always wanted to draw and create art but found I was less than talented in that area I was always under the impression that when it came to those areas that you either had it or not. I had to be born with that talent or I would never be able to draw ever. This of course isn’t true, and don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise either. I started to draw when I was 18 years old and it’s never too late to start. It was always my goal to be a comi creator, and I couldn’t really understand when so many people I knew refused to even try and to be honest I still don’t.
A lot of my training was self taught, however I did go to college and art classes myself, I wasn’t totally impressed with them. The information I was getting was nothing that I really couldn’t find myself and to be honest that was extremely disheartening. But it’s always important to try new things regardless especially when it comes to education and I found art was just one part of a greater whole when it came to reactive storytelling. |
Why manga?
I think I was always an anime fan I just didn’t know it, and I found that it was impossible for me to not create art without being drawn to it. And for the longest time I pursued it. But as time went on, I found other new ways to implement it. Trying to combine more than just new style to convey a feeling or situation, which I just found recently in Fragilit, i’m almost stupefied that I didn’t think of it before, but that’s what happens sometimes when you are so focused, you forget about other tools which may become more helpful to me in the art of storytelling.
Past and Present projects
I could go on and on about possible future projects but in all honesty, I don’t know anything until it’s finished, so here is a list of some of my past accomplishments of which you probably never heard of:
